Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This policy covers the Eazy.bike website and the Eazy.bike Android app (com.eazybike.lite).

For privacy questions or requests, email edumucelli@gmail.com with “Eazy.bike privacy” in the subject.

Location and route searches

You can browse station data and choose a city without creating an account. If you grant your device's location permission, Eazy.bike can access approximate or precise location to center the map, find nearby stations, set a route endpoint, and follow your position while the relevant location feature is active. You can refuse or revoke location permission in your browser or Android settings and enter a place manually.

Enabling the Android “Track me” setting requests repeated location updates. Other location buttons request a single location fix. Turn off “Track me” or revoke location permission to stop that feature; Android also controls location access according to its permission and app-lifecycle rules.

Addresses you type, selected places, map coordinates, and route endpoints are processed to find stations, geocode addresses, and calculate routes. The Eazy.bike service receives coordinates or map bounds for station searches. Google's mapping services receive the searches, coordinates, and route information needed for maps, place suggestions, directions, elevation, and Street View images. Those services also receive network and device information, including your IP address.

The website also requests an approximate IP-based location from IPinfo to suggest a nearby city. This shares your IP address and ordinary request information with IPinfo; it does not require GPS permission. This is separate from a precise location you choose to grant.

Favorites, preferences, and data on your device

The Android app stores saved favorite routes, including origin and destination addresses and coordinates, in its local app database. App preferences and cached station data are also stored on the device. Eazy.bike does not provide an account-based favorites synchronization service. Selecting a favorite sends its route information to the relevant services again when you calculate that route.

You can delete individual favorites in the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local app data. Android's device-backup feature may retain or restore app data according to your Google account and device backup settings; manage those backups separately.

The website uses a session cookie for features such as the selected city and relocation choices, and a preference cookie to remember whether you have seen the tour. Cookies remain until their configured expiry or until you clear them. You can remove or block them through your browser settings; some preferences may then stop being remembered.

Analytics and diagnostics

These integrations are governed by their providers' practices as well as the features Eazy.bike uses. See Google's Privacy Policy, Crashlytics/Firebase privacy information, and New Relic's Privacy Notice. The data handled by an installed app depends on its version and the features you use.

Server logs, support, and sharing

Our hosting infrastructure receives an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or app request information, and response/error details when you connect. URLs for location searches can contain coordinates or map bounds. We use operational logs and diagnostics to run the service, investigate failures, secure it, and prevent abuse. The service runs on servers provided by Hetzner Online GmbH; our hosting and monitoring providers process information for these operational purposes.

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any details you choose to include. If you follow an external app-store, sharing, or donation link, the destination service receives your request and handles information under its own policy. For example, Google Play or PayPal handles a transaction you choose to make; Eazy.bike does not receive your full payment-card details through the website's donation link.

Public bike-station inventories are obtained from operators and open-data services. Your route searches and device location are not sent to bike operators as part of those scheduled data downloads. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or to investigate abuse or protect the service. Saved favorites stay in local app storage; Eazy.bike has no account-based route-history service.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Administrative access to production services and backups is restricted, and secrets are not published through the station API. Local Android data is held in the app's storage; device security and backups also depend on your Android settings. No network or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Legacy Android versions can start station requests over HTTP. Use an updated release when available; an HTTP connection does not provide the transport protection of HTTPS. The privacy policy does not replace the need to update older app versions or grant only permissions you want to use.

Retention and deletion

To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information under our control, contact edumucelli@gmail.com. Describe the information or interaction concerned and an approximate date so that we can locate it. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data. We will explain if information cannot be identified or must be retained for a legal or security reason. Backup copies may remain until their scheduled expiry.

No Eazy.bike account is required, so there is no Eazy.bike account to delete. Local favorites must be deleted on your device. For information controlled independently by Google, IPinfo, New Relic, or another provider, use that provider's privacy controls or contact mechanism as well.

Your choices and policy changes

You can choose cities and type addresses instead of sharing device location, revoke location permission, delete favorites, clear app/browser storage, and manage device backup settings. Privacy rights available under applicable law may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and contacting a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise rights relating to data under Eazy.bike's control.

We update this page when relevant practices change and show the update date above. This public page has no visitor editing or account requirement.
